Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and subsequently went on a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round of each fight. After that, she went to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia lost to Aspen through a unanimous decision. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd returned from her defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta 16 saw her move up to Bantamweight after winning her bout with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her formidable grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as her catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy up to the point where she knocked her down with a KO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina using ground and pound to prevail by TKO in the 2nd round. Her dominance continued and she scored an impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd was able to defeat Evinger in the very first round and earned a reward to commemorate her performance of the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. The match was Ladd's debut major fight. Her victory was an unanimous decision, and it was the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie broke Ladd's streak of winning in less than 16 seconds. In the third round of UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a substitute fight. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
