Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota, who has been a journalist for over 30 years, reported on news events both nationally and internationally. The award she received was one Emmy Award in her early career when she covered the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the details of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford was appointed as an honorary trustee in recognition of her time on the Board of Trustees from 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport was elected chair of the board following an appointment on the Board in 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker from Westport who served as board chair in the past year and was in the position since 2006. The Playhouse's board of trustees has 26 members.
