Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler was in 1990, the year she was 19 years old and got the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat not just due to Krauss's old age, as the album that won her the award, I've Got That Old Feeling is actually the third of her collection. Her first release, Too Late to Cry it was released in the year that the Champaign, Illinois, native was just 16 years old; she had made a deal with Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk label in the business--at the age of fourteen. And Krauss's accomplishments even at this young age as well as her amazing virtuosity have always bested her devotion to bluegrass. The oldest and most overlooked, of traditional American form of musical expression. Krauss became a mature artist and producer having developed from a teenage phenom. Alison Alison Alison
